KILROY CAMPAIGN RELEASES NEW POSITIVE AD SPOT

COLUMBUS, OH -- Today, the Mary Jo Kilroy for Congress campaign released its most recent ad, showing a strong display of energy and excitement going into the last two weeks of the campaign.

The ad, featuring Kilroy’s three dogs Chase, Dodger and Murphy, outlines Kilroy’s policy priorities and what she will fight for in Washington.

“This ad is an opportunity to get out our positive message, and it is a direct message to the voters of the 15th Congressional District about what Mary Jo will do for them as a member of Congress,” Amanda Wurst, communications director for Kilroy for Congress, said. “I have no doubt the Republicans will continue to make negative attacks against Mary Jo, but we will continue to provide a message of change to voters.”

Recently, the highly regarded political prognosticator The Rothenberg Political Report changed the ranking of OH-15 from “Pure Toss Up” to “Toss-up/Tilt Democratic.” [ The Rothenberg Political Report, “2006 House Ratings,” 10/20/06]

Thomas Suddes, columnist for the Plain Dealer, said, “Republicans will lose U.S. House seats by Reps. Deborah Pryce, of suburban Columbus, and Robert W. Ney…Pryce has been a stranger to her constituents.” [ Plain Dealer, “Democrats poised for rare Ohio feast,” 10/22/06]

“There is a lot of excitement among voters in the 15th Congressional District,” Wurst said. “The nation is watching this race, and we have an opportunity to change the direction of our country and put a new set of priorities on the agenda. Mary Jo will fight for priorities like health care, protecting Social Security, balancing the budget and developing alternative fuel sources to protect our environment and boost our economy.”
