Sherrod Brown at Sunday Speaker Series

Congressman Sherrod Brown
Candidate for U.S. Senate
Sunday, October 22, 7-9 p.m.
Hastings Middle School
1850 Hastings Lane, Upper Arlington

On principle, Sherrod has refused to accept the Congressional Health Plan (paid by taxpayers) until health care is available to every Ohioan. He fights lobbyists from the insurance and pharmaceutical industries in order to make health care more affordable for seniors, working families and small businesses.

Sherrod worked to pass legislation that stopped pharmaceutical corporations from price gouging, thereby reducing the price of prescription drugs.

An outspoken critic of the misguided Medicare Part D prescription drug program, Sherrod has sponsored a law that would allow the government to negotiate bulk prices when purchasing prescription drugs on behalf of 44 million Americans, and would allow for seniors to get their drugs directly through Medicare, bypassing the private insurance industry altogether.

Sherrod opposed the War on Iraq from day one, voting against the war authorization, but worked to make sure our troops had the body armor they needed and the health care they deserve. He has worked to improve port security and homeland security, authoring tough new legislation making national security the most important consideration in any trade agreement.

COME HEAR WHAT SHERROD HAS TO SAY - IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE!
